Bread is a consumable item appearing in S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl, S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky and S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat.

Overview

The 0.3 kg loaf of bread is the lightest and cheapest form of food available to a stalker in Shadow of Chernobyl and Clear Sky. In Call of Pripyat the weight was increased to 0.4 kg, making it less economical. The bread has no known baked origin, but is a food staple for stalkers in the Zone.

Shadow of Chernobyl

Hard to say who manages to bake these loaves in the Zone, but the bread isn't contaminated and is perfectly edible. Well, at least none of the stalkers have complained about it.

Acquisition

Bread can be purchased from most traders.

It can be found in the following locations:

• One loaf can be found in the bunker the campfire in the Rookie Village.
• Two loaves can be found on the tables in the 100 Rads bar.
• Three loaves can be found in a locker outside Borov's office.

Bread can be found in the following stashes:

• Hidden backpack (Wild Territory) x3
• Drunkard's backpack x1
• Chest with goods (Dark Valley)
• The backpack that was left behind
• Backpack

• Backpack in the secret stash
• The dropped backpack

Clear Sky

No bakers have ever been identified in the Zone, but this bread is not contaminated and is actually quite edible. At least no complaints have been reported thus far.

Bread returns in Clear Sky.

Acquisition

It can be purchased from most traders and looted from the bodies of various stalkers.

A few can be found at the bar in the Agroprom Research Institute.

Call of Pripyat

No bakers have ever been identified in the Zone, but this bread is neither contaminated nor radioactive, being fresh and quite edible. At least no complaints have been reported thus far.

In-game description

Bread returns in Call of Pripyat. Like most consumable items in the game, its effect is now duration-based.

Acquisition

Bread is sold by Beard and Hawaiian, and is a common find in the inventories of stalkers.
