Dark is a loner stalker who appears in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl. He teams up with Skif to raid Lab X-3 in the quest Legends of the Zone. During that mission, it's revealed he is an unwitting agent of the C-Consciousness.
Background
Dark is an enthusiastic and capable loner who is capable of holding his own against mutants and armed foes alike. He makes his camp in the office space of an underground tunnel near the Cordon and is known to other stalkers in the Rookie Village. He possesses a decoder which is capable of opening keycard readers without actually having the physical card.
Legends of the Zone (Quest)
Skif hears from Sidorovich that other stalkers may know a pathway into Lab X-3. After asking around the Rookie Village, Wolf reveals that Dark is also looking for the same lab and provides Dark's camp location.
Skif arrives to the camp to find it teeming with Mercenaries. After fighting them off, Dark thanks Skif and suggests that they raid Lab X-3 together.
During their exploration of Lab X-3, Skif and Dark encounter several mutants including a Pseudogiant which they take down together. While raiding the lower levels of the lab, Dark is exposed to Neurovisual Programmers (TVs) which are suddenly turned on. Upon seeing the images, Dark begins convulsing violently and violently headbutts one of the screens, dying in the process. Skif is then disarmed by Strelok.

Strelok then reveals to Skif that Dark was a C-Consciousness agent: he had a S.T.A.L.K.E.R tattoo, and his PDA displayed "KILL THE STRELOK" when powered on. Strelok also admits to hiring the Mercenaries that were trying to kill Dark.
Dangerous Liaisons (Quest)
During the quest Dangerous Liaisons, Skif makes it to the Troposphere Comm Station and manages to enter it with the help of Dark's decoder. After activating the installation there, Skif is able to see Strelok through a large series of monitors. Strelok reveals that Skif is actually looking through the deceased Dark's eyes.
Trivia
- During the quest Dangerous Liaisons, Strelok repeatedly calls him "Dark One" instead of Dark. He is also called Dark One by a Ward soldier at the end of the quest. This may mirror how Strelok is called "Marked One" in S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl.
