Professional stalkers have a fair few months of experience and usually field medium to high-end weaponry and armor. Do note that this ranking exists only in Clear Sky and Call of Pripyat and it does not have its own denomination, instead being labeled as "expirienced 2" in the game files from which NPCs are spawned.

Professional stalkers make up a large portion of tthestalkers encountered in the Zone. They are generally found in areas like the Garbage, Agroprom, Red Forest, Dark Valley, Yantar, The area around Jupiter and Army Warehouses. Most Professional stalkers are similar to their lesser Experienced brethren. Their choice of weapons is quite varied but on the higher-end and generally superior to what lower ranking Stalkers use. They frequently have access to armour-piercing ammunition too. Their armour though is usually similar to the lower Experienced rank.
Equipment
Generally, Experienced stalkers make use of mid-tier or sometimes higher-end.
- Viper 5, used by Bandits and some Loners.
- AKM-74/2, used by Loners, Spetsnaz, Bandits, Freedom and Duty.
- AC-96/2, used mainly by Duty or the Military.
- Hunting shotgun, used by Renegades.
- Chaser 13, used by some Freedom stalkers and Clear Sky.
- TRs-301, used mainly by Mercenaries, but can be found on Loners and Freedom.
- IL 86, used by Mercenaries, Loners, and Freedom.
Experienced stalkers will also utilize mostly mid-tier armors:
- Stalker Suit, used by Loners.
- Radiation suit, used by Loners.
- PSZ-9d Duty suit, used by Duty.
- Bandit Jacket, used by Bandits.
- Wind of Freedom Suit, used by Freedom marksmen.
- Merc suit, used by Mercenaries and Renegades.
- Berill-5M armoured suit, used by the Military.
