stalker
The subject of this article appears in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl.

There was this one guy who tried to find a better deal and ended up buying used gear from a stalker. He never came back from Prypiat, and no one’s bothering to look for his corpse. I stand by the quality of my merchandise. Take your pick.

Wreck is a trader for The Corps appearing in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl.

Background

After joining the Corps and being assigned to Yaniv Station, Wreck would assume Hawaiian's trader duties. He resells gear taken from stalkers in Prypiat and equipment acquired from trade deals with Freedom [1][2]. Wreck would eventually begin a business relationship with Spirit, with Wreck ignoring Spirit guiding stalkers through the Boundary, and Spirit getting Wreck connections to the IPSF and the Diggers at Garbage [3].

While against the Corps' code of conduct, Dmytro Nor would somewhat look the other way as Wreck would give him ammo from his under-the-table dealings [4].

Appearances

Heart of Chornobyl

Wreck is the primary trader found at Yaniv Station, in the room next to Harpy's. When Skif makes it to Yaniv during The Boundary, Wreck is found being interrogated by Nor for his business with Spirit.

There was this one guy who tried to find a better deal and ended up buying used gear from a stalker. He never came back from Prypiat, and no one’s bothering to look for his corpse. I stand by the quality of my merchandise. Take your pick.

The Zone rewards the well-prepared. And with Monolith right next door, you better stock up. Better safe than sorry. There was this one guy who tried to calculate everything. He figured running light would be quicker. But he couldn’t outrun a Monolithian’s bullet. So my advice is: think twice and buy thrice. Take your pick.

Heading to Prypiat, eh? I’ve noticed quite a few of your kind passing through here lately, but not all of them make it back. There was this one guy who wouldn’t stop bragging about his fancy gun, but he skimped on ammo. A couple days later, another stalker brought me that same piece to sell. So if you don’t want your gear to end up on my counter, get your coupons ready now.

They say it's always darkest before the dawn. Bullshit! In the Zone, it's always darkest before you get clobbered by a fucking Emission.
