Snake's last words
Spark (ukr. Іскра, ru. Искра) is a faction of wandering stalkers. It appears in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl.
Background
Spark is a ragtag faction of stalkers who follow Scar's ideal view of the Zone. They strive for the so-called Shining Zone, the opposite of the current "Dark side of the Zone". Part of Spark's stalkers assist the scientists at Malachite, led by Prof. Ozersky, in carrying out field research.
It was formed after the original Iskra Scientific Research and Investigation Team was wiped out by Ward. While Spark uses the same name (translated into English), none of the surviving members joined the new faction.
Under Scar, Spark would fight a shadow war within the zone. Initially against Ward, the war would boil over into Scar waking up Monolith and using emitters to spread his ideals of the Shining Zone.
Equipment
Spark members are better equipped than the average loner in the Zone. As they are working with the Malachite scientists they can usually afford better weapons and equipment.
Weapons: Spark members can be seen armed with various types of firearms and they are one of the factions utilizing both Russian/Soviet and Western made weaponary.
Notable members
- Scar — leader of the group.
- Star — the leader of a group of Spark stalkers camped out in the Detention Center in the former Dark Valley.
