Tank is a Mercenary who appears in S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat.

Background

Tank is a member of Hatchet's team stationed in the Zone as part of Jackal's expedition to find Lab X-8.

Tank is initially found in the Zaton Substation Workshop. He stands at the very back of the entrance with his shotgun, overlooking the courtyard, guarding the area alongside Oak, Pianist, and Hatchet himself. He will stay at his post unless provoked.

Unlike other members of his team, if Hatchet is recruited to guard the scientists' bunker in Yanov, he will not join Hatchet and disappear from the game, disappearing with Kirzach and Mug. Likewise, if the player does not recruit Hatchet, then he and the rest of his team will disappear after the mission Pripyat 1 is completed.

Trivia

• Tank leaves with every member of the group of Mercenaries at the very back of the Substation Workshops, except for Mower.
• He seems to be a bit incompetent as a guard, as he will not attempt to stop the player if they have a weapon out, only firing once everyone else is hostile. He also doesn’t speak.
• His location is not a very smart placement, as he isn’t able to get close to his enemies if a firefight starts, and he’s completely in the open. This renders his shotgun useless and makes him an easy target.
