Wiki For the Gauss rifle ammunition, see Batteries.
For the artifact in Shadow of Chernobyl erroneously also named Battery, see Shell.

The Battery is an artifact featured in S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl, S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky, S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat and S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl.

Appearances

Shadow of Chernobyl

The origin of this object is shrouded in scientific mystery. It's clear that it's made in part by di-electric elements, but science does not know the physical conditions in which it is formed.

Battery in-game description

The Battery is spawned in gravitational anomalies, has the same appearance than its other renditions and gives electrical protection.

It gives a +30% bonus in electrical protection, and has no downsides whatsoever. This makes it a valuable artifact to use through anomalies, especially when combined. As well, they can enable suit repairing if the player combines four or more of them: four Electro batteries enable suit repair in Electro anomalies.

Acquisition

Several stashes contains the artifact:

Clear Sky

The origin of this item remains a scientific enigma. It is only known that its composition includes dielectric elements, but scientists have yet to identify the exact physical conditions required for its formation. The artifact is popular in the Zone and valued by its residents and visitors for its restorative abilities. Emits radiation.

In-game description

The Battery returns in S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky, assuming the appearance of an artifact of electrical original. It acts as a common artifact providing a +2 in endurance regeneration, allowing the player to run for more time before having to rest, although it also gives a +2 in radiation making the artifact semi-useful.

Acquisition

The artifact is found in Electro anomalies.

Call of Pripyat

The composition of this artifact includes electrostatic elements, but scientists have yet to identify the exact physical conditions required for its formation. The artifact is popular in the Zone and valued by its residents and visitors for its energizing properties, although it can tire the body out through prolonged use. Emits radiation.

In-game description

The Battery returns in S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat, again as a common artifact giving a +2 in endurance regeneration and a +1 in radiation. The boost given is nearly insignificant, meaning the player could well sell it and buy something more helpful.

Acquisition

The Battery can be found in electrical anomaly fields; the Jupiter warehouse in Jupiter spawns one by default.

Beard also sell Batteries after completing the Compass mission.

Heart of Chornobyl

A common artifact found in electro anomalies. The high-frequency alternating current glowing within the Battery does not cause burns upon contact.
