Owl (Ru. Сыч) is a trader appearing in S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat and S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl.
Background
Owl is a trader established in the Skadovsk in Zaton. He has a reputation for not asking many questions, which enables him to specialize in trading information and stolen goods[quote. 1].
He is at odds with the local barkeep, Beard, in part due to the latter's very lucrative artifact trading business[quote. 2]. As a result, he is known to work with the local Bandits kingpin, Sultan.

Owl can be found at the upper level of the Skadovsk, just in front of Tremor's office. He has the largest selection of goods out of any trader on the ship, as he sells a variety of armors, weapons, and ammunition. Initially, he does not deal with medical supplies but starts buying and selling them after completion of the mission Missing Stalkers. His wares and discounts depend on the player's stand in the Bandits/Loners faction war in Zaton.
Owl can provide the player with several missions. Due to him being an information dealer, the player can also pay him for various information about their active missions, and he will also buy many documents and PDAs from the player. Selling at least 10 PDAs or documents to Owl will earn the player the achievement Trafficker of Information.

Related missions
- Mercenary Camp: Owl hires the player to steal the Mercenary notebook found in the Waste Processing Station, guarded by a group of hostile mercenaries.

Ending

Owl only has one ending, which is unlocked if the player obtains the achievement A Man of Balance. It reveals that he becomes a successful dealer of information in the Zone, with rumors that he gives regular reports to the USS itself.
Heart of Chornobyl
Owl returns in Heart of Chornobyl as a trader and quest provider. He can be found in his usual place aboard the Skadovsk (now called Sultansk). He reveals that he helped the Sultan take over the Skadovsk and oust Beard.
